Benha Faculty of Engineering Launches Educational Collaboration with RoboDK

Benha Faculty of Engineering Launches Educational Collaboration with RoboDK

The Faculty of Engineering at Benha University is pleased to announce a new educational collaboration with RoboDK, a globally recognized robotics simulation and offline programming platform widely adopted in both academia and industry.

Through this collaboration, the Mechatronics and Automation Program has been awarded up to 30 complimentary educational licenses, enabling students to access advanced robotics simulation software that supports teaching, learning, research, and graduation projects.

The initiative, led by Dr. Muhammed Gaafar, Assistant Professor in the Mechatronics and Automation Program, will integrate RoboDK into several undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Industrial Robots (MAM 208), Robotics (MEC 668), and Robotics (M 1596). By incorporating RoboDK into the curriculum, students will gain hands-on experience in robot simulation, manipulator kinematics, trajectory planning, offline programming, robotic workcell design, and autonomous motion planning. This practical training will strengthen their understanding of industrial robotics and help bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world engineering applications.

The collaboration also offers opportunities to showcase the University's achievements on an international stage. Outstanding student projects and innovative robotics applications developed at Benha University may be featured through RoboDK's global communication channels, increasing the visibility of the University's educational and research activities.

The Faculty of Engineering extends its sincere appreciation to Prof. Zeinab Feisal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Ali Attia, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, for their continuous support of academic excellence and educational innovation. Special thanks are also extended to Charlotte Martino of RoboDK for her valuable support and commitment to advancing robotics education through this collaboration.

This partnership reflects the Faculty's ongoing commitment to strengthening engineering education through the adoption of state-of-the-art industrial technologies and equipping graduates with the knowledge and practical skills required to excel in the rapidly evolving fields of robotics, automation, and intelligent manufacturing.
