About Mechanical Engineering Department
The Mechanical Engineering Technology Section has two main divisions:
Energy Engineering Division
This specialization is characterized by its rigorous study of fluids and heat transmission methods. It also examines in detail the power stations from a mechanical perspective and the systems of refrigeration, adaptation and machine control. This division contains the following fine disciplines:
Traditional Energy Specialization
Specialization of non-traditional energy
Specialized refrigeration and conditioning
Manufacturing Engineering Division
This specialization is characterized by its deep study of design, production and analysis of stresses for mechanical parts. It also cares about two-perspective operating machines: the first is to study the operation process so as to reach a high-quality production rate, and the second is to design the machines themselves and bring them to the highest performance
Career Opportunities
A mechanical engineer graduating from the department is one of the main pillars of the national industry in the field of design, development and manufacturing. He also finds good opportunities in the industry sector in the following areas:
- Analysis and design of machinery, equipment and material transport systems.
- Analysis and design of components of fluid power systems.
- Pneumatic and hydraulic automatic control methods and systems.
- Methods and systems of production, manufacturing and digital control machines.
- Testing, measurement, inspection and quality control.
- Maintenance, fracture analysis and malfunction diagnosis.
