The Department's objectives derive from the strategic objectives of the College and are summarized as follows:
• Providing students with professional ethics and values in addition to the knowledge and scientific skills that qualify them to work in various fields of mechanical engineering. The department also contributes with the rest of the faculty departments to the preparation of a student capable of serving the surrounding community.
• Developing curricula to keep abreast of modern trends in all fields of mechanical engineering, as well as to keep abreast of modern methods of learning such as self-learning.
• Create an environment that helps researchers to create and produce research by following up on modern scientific periodicals and participating in local and international scientific conferences and holding periodic panel discussions as well as encouraging researchers to publish science locally and globally.
• To contribute effectively to the service of the surrounding community by providing specialized advisory services in all fields of mechanical engineering and the environment by participating in the activities of the workshop unit, laboratories and consulting college.
